It’s an excellent week for Aussie legends in this issue. New Idea was invited into thecamp life. I loved hearing about the day Peter carried then one-year-old Maddie on his shoulders in his 1994 retirement game – what an iconic moment! Read their story on page 16. Meanwhile, the whole office was excited when news of John Farnham’s memoir dropped, and we rushed the story straight onto page 5. Over on page 30, we interview the inimitable Leah Purcell, who reveals she was within moments of giving up on her acting dream when some amazing roles came calling. Leah, as a huge fan of your new show I’m so very glad you waited just a little longer!
