Rhubarb can be grown from seed, but it’s more reliable to plant crowns. Crowns are offsets cut from divisions of vigorous parent plants – usually they are a piece of root with at least one visible dormant bud. These should be planted out in late autumn, 90cm or more apart, depending on the cultivar.
Rhubarb will grow
