MARIJUANA IN MALTA

he Mediterranean nation of Malta, located south of Sicily, recently celebrated the opening of its first nonprofit cannabis association. The Authority, KDD Society had 150 members within 48 hours of operations, and hit the 250 maximum just days later. KDD Society founder Kenneth Ellul told that they have been overwhelmed by requests to join. “We hope we can be of service and leave a positive impact,” said Ellul. “Cannot wait to meet and get to know members in our community.” Malta became the first country in the European Union to legalize recreational cannabis in December 2021.
