I have a friend and colleague who is so brilliant, so smart, so wise and so fair that I would follow her anywhere. She leads with empathy and kindness under immense pressure, gets the absolute best out of every person feature. And when politics becomes too dangerous a place for a woman to even consider working in, the consequences for us all are shattering. Because right now, more than ever, we need an influx of the good ones. The ones who could make real change. The ones who would offer a different perspective and challenge those who have made crap decisions for a very long time. The ones who’ll listen and lead and prioritise. We are missing out on women in the house. And that’s a very dangerous place to be.
