Brief window of opportunity allows for a Lakeside union

MARCH 21 was a day of strong emotion for many as two long-held ambitions finally came to fruition when two LMS-designed locomotives owned by members of the Beet family met for the first time at the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway – a route on which one of them had run during its BR career.
