Railway 200: How can you become involved?

IT is widely accepted that the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway on September 27, 1825, marked the beginning of the railway age.

While acknowledging that lines such as the Middleton Railway, which opened in 1758, predate the S&DR by two-thirds of a century, 2025 marks the generally accepted bicentenary of the railways. So, how is this occasion to be marked? That is up to any readers in their capacity as volunteers or paid staff in the heritage railway movement.
