“We must make America pray again,” says Donald Trump (pictured). The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, beset by mounting legal costs, is now hawking Bibles for $59.99. The “God Bless the USA Bible” contains the King James translation as well as copies of. “All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favourite book,” Trump said. He is not selling them directly, but will receive royalties with each purchase. The Bible differs from his previous ventures – gold Trump trainers costing $399 and cologne for $99 – as it appeals to a large number of his followers, who are “passionate both about scripture and about supporting the former president against his fiendish enemies”, says The Economist.
