The focus of Van Rysel’s windbreaker is firmly in the breathability camp, with abe a mistake. There are no reflective details but the bright colourway aids on-road visibility. In terms of windproofing, there are stronger fabrics on test, but as a cape for changeable and largely dry summer riding, this is a budget contender. There’s no women’s version sadly.
