PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses, working over tails where possible.
Join with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.
Chain-1 or chain-2 at beginning of a row or round does not count as stitch unless otherwise stated.
Chain-3 or chain-4 at beginning of a row or round counts as first treble crochet unless otherwise stated.
While working Wave Stitch, carry inactive color loosely along sides of rows. Twist C2 and C1 before working beginning chain-3 on row 6, to divide carried yarn into 2 shorter loops.
On Bottom Ruffle, change colors without fastening off, carrying inactive color loosely on wrong side and working over it until the next color change.
Hat and Bag are worked in rounds. Join only where directed to do so. Place stitch marker in first stitch to mark beginning of round; move marker up with each round.
For seamless bicolor spiral rounds, work 2 colors without fastening off the last stitch on both rounds. Secure the working loop with a stitch marker until completion of next round, remove marker on previous round and proceed with same working loop over just finished round of other color.
On bottom of Bag, stitches are divided into 2 symmetrical increase sections and 2 central sections. Use distinct stitch markers for beginning of work
