This year marks 50 years since trailblazing golf retailer Ray Drummond opened his first store in Bendigo, Victoria.
Half a century later, his legacy remains in the form of Drummond Golf, Australia’s largest golf retailer.
The man behind the beginning of a retailing empire grew up in Sydney and was a professional golfer by the age of 17 and a teaching pro. Drummond would tee it up with some of the biggest names in the sport, including Greg Norman and Seve Ballesteros.
