Master Your PDFs FOR FREE!

PDFgear (www.pdfgear.com) is our favourite tool for editing PDFs. It’s got a clear, unfussy interface, makes short work of converting Word files to PDF (and vice versa) and – best of all – it’s free. You might imagine this last point means it’s also somewhat basic when compared with paid-for PDF tools, but you’d be wrong. Here, we’ll explore some of its lesser-known features and show you how to make the most of the program’s features you may not have explored.

If you’ve already installed PDFgear, check on its home screen that you have the latest version (2.1.4 – in our screenshot below). If not, click Check Upgrade . If you can’t see this upgrade option or you’ve – it starts automatically.
