From an inflatable shark to DJ decks: the 79 London Marathon record attempts

A woman dressed in an inflatable shark costume and a man running with DJ decks are just two of the 79 people hoping to achieve London Marathon Guinness World Records (GWR).

As April 21, the day of the marathon, approaches, many participants hope their quirky attempts will allow them to raise as much money as they can for their chosen charities.

Engineer Georgina Box will be attempting to beat a time of 5:30:00 to achieve the fastest marathon in a full-body inflatable costume (female), dressed as a shark.
