The theme “Down on the farm” offers up a myriad of collectibles, included among them is the tractor seat. Early cast iron seats did not offer much in the way of comfort. Today it’s a different story, as farmers sit on cushioned seats. In the 1800s, sitting on a rigid, unforgiving cast iron seat for hours at a time, day in and day out, offered little more than a sore and aching bottom.
