Exotic Adventures!

The excitement is palpable at Taipei’s wharf. As well as the chance to sail aboard the refurbished Norwegian Jewel on her return to Asia after more than three years (everything’s been revamped, from the chandeliers to the canapes), it’s my first ever cruise. I’m sailing the first four days of the Jewel’s route from Taiwan, through the Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam and Singapore. The sight of the boat up close makes me slightly breathless. She’s sleek, clean and humming with anticipation as we check in.
