WHAT'S AN ENGLISH ACCENT GOT TO DO WITH IT?

. That's Swahili for: 'The English language came aboard a ship'. And that's what we say on this side of Africa whenever we develop an English pronunciation issue. That said, there are some people who are of the opinion that 'good English' - whatever that means - is a sign of better upbringing or academicwill go to great lengths to adopt a twang.
