New Zealand's population is growing … rapidly. In 2023, it surged by nearly 3 per cent, with an impressive net gain of 126,000.
This growth is concurrent with record levels of rental growth.
According to Statistics New Zealand, tenancy flow data grew by 6.8 per cent for the year to January. This is a significant increase from the long-term average of 3.2 per cent.
