Forecasts are just guesses
It helps to remember that a forecast is just a prediction. No one knows the future; even though we have numerous models that are more precise than we’ve ever had, the old ‘five-day Biscay window’ rarely exists. These days, in particular, shifting weather systems and seasonal patterns are not as regular and predictable as they used to be. A weather forecast is no more real than the chart on your plotter screen.
