Draycote Water wins RYA Club Of The Year

Draycote Water Sailing Club (DWSC) has been awarded RYA Club of the Year at the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show in February, with the trophy presented by Olympic gold medalist Eilidh McIntyre.

DWSC, one of 14 finalists, also won Young Person’s Club of the Year, one of four new awards categories. ‘It’s brilliant,’ said Draycote Commodore William Whittaker. ‘This is 10 years of hard work, and we are now seeing the youth and junior sector enjoying sailing on a daily and weekly basis. The kids will be very proud because they’ve contributed to this success.’
