Built by Porsche's Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) department as a tribute to the legendary Mexican road race, La Carrera Panamericana, and inspired by the 550 Coupé driven to a class win by José Sala Herrarte Ariano and Carlos González at the 1953 staging of the event, the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Carrera Panamericana Special is full of interior and exterior design touches bringing to life the history of Porsche in Mexico.
The car was a joint project between Porsche and timepiece manufacturer, TAG Heuer. It is, in fact, one of two examples of its kind.
