GEE! IT’S A LEYLAND…

British Leyland was trying to simplify a bewilderingly diversethe Mitchelotti Routemans, the Motor Panels Guys, the remnants of the Albion LAD models and the BMCs with the Bathgate ‘G’ cab. Seemingly, with scant regard for Albion’s heritage, they commonised the famous Scottish make with the cheap, mass-produced BMCs by fitting the G-cab and dropping the Albion name altogether. This unregistered ‘Leyland’ Clydesdale appeared at the 1973 RHA Tipcon show in Blackpool.
