NEW Zealand Motorcycle Magazine was an offshoot of NZ Hot Rod Mag and hit the newsstands 50 years ago this month. Gracing the front cover was Aussie Wally Pushkey, who had appeared at both January meets at Meremere. The cover shot alone would have grabbed readers’ attention. A new Ducati 750 with what was described as a high price of $2,469 was road-tested. A chopper with a relatively new Honda 750-4 was the feature bike.
