What are the Euro 6 emissions rules for commercial vehicles?
EURO 6 rules were introduced in 2015, and almost all vans and trucks sold from September 2016 onwards comply with the new standards. Since these limits were imposed, the test that’s used to determine a vehicle’s official fuel economy and CO2 output has changed from the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) to the World Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
To account for this change, Euro 6 has been updated to include Euro 6c and Euro 6d-TEMP categories. Euro 6c refers to compliance with the WLTP testing procedure; this was required on all new vehicles from September 2018.
