There are numerous lunar clair-obscur (shadow and light) effects visible this month. On the morning ofthe Moon approaches setting, the Lunar X and Lunar V effects should be visible. Later that evening, the Stars or Aristillus can be seen at 17:54 BST (16:54 UT), the illuminated peaks of the central mountain complex within the crater Aristillus appearing like a small open cluster of stars.
