Not the first spooky psychological drama in which a deceased person investigates their ownand are just two recent ones that spring to mind. Veteran TV writer Paula Milne, whose credits include and and who previously adapted Andrea Levy’s and Sarah Waters’ turns Louise Doughty’s book into a four-part miniseries in which Jasmine Jobson’s Lisa tries to discover why she threw herself under a train. UK reviews were mixed, as they say, but after a slow start, the series gathers momentum.
