After two excellent post-Covid seasons, the Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship looks better still for 2024 with a stellar line-up of rallies matched by a sensational list of registered contenders.

The BTRDA’s asphalt offering has been around for a long time and has always been a fine championship. But in recent times it has stepped up massively thanks to the advent of closed-road special stage rallies on the UK mainland. Previously, aside from the annual Jim Clark Rally, getting some closed-road action meant a trip over the water.

Now, a growing number of top-quality closed-road events gives the Motorsport News-supported championship
