Chailev & Newick Painting Group

The Chailey & Newick group welcomed over 300 visitors to its annual exhibition before Christmas. They all helped the group to raise over £800 for its local hospice through its ‘Art on a Card’ tombola, in which every ticket won an original artwork by one of the group’s members. In addition, visitors were invited to vote for their favourite painting and chose Carlina Oliver’s pastel, Green Lane, Sun and Shade (above right) as their firm favourite.

The exhibition is available to view online at www.chaileyandnewickpaintinggroup.com

Redcatch Art Club

The best in show winner at the recent Redcatch Art Club exhibition was awarded to Adrian Vye for his watercolour, (above right). The Redcatch Art Club meets each Monday morning at the Community Centre on Redcatch Road, Knowle, Bristol from 9.30am until 12 noon. The group enjoys drawing and painting together, although they don’t have a regular instructor.
