Best frozen meals to fill your freezer with tasty and easy to heat classics

Food waste is embarrassingly high in the UK, with 9.5m tonnes binned every year, according to Business Waste

While most of us mean well cramming fresh fruit and vegetables into kitchen bowls and the fridge’s crisper compartment, the reality of busy work and social lives means healthy eating and good intentions don’t always go to plan. Food becomes mouldy and gets thrown out while we resolve to try harder in the next weekly shop. And so the wasteful cycle continues. 

Freezing mindfully can help to change that. Chopping fresh fruit and veg before they go bad and parcelling them into freezer-safe bags, ready to use when a recipe calls, is an excellent way to preserve precious food - and pounds. Knowing there’s a stash of sliced and diced frozen produce makes them all the easier to sling into meals like stews, soups, curries and smoothies, upping their nutritional value.
