Cornelius GURLITT (1820-1901)

One often associates German composer Cornelius Gurlitt with easy, rather ‘plain’ repertoire. However, this delightful set of six pieces, entitled , is: This pretty waltz in B minor should remain light and graceful throughout. The RH starts with the melody and the LH is the accompanist – though the LH does take on a second melody at bar 17 (and again on the repeats). Take note of the dynamics and the graceful poco ritardandos which will add a further dance-like lilt.
