Most of Live’s titles featured coverdiscs, to make them appear more ‘premium’ wasn’t able to escape that fate. The initial idea was to just fill ’em with freeware – PC arcade clones and emulators – but we exhausted that idea after about two issues. So we looked to secure back catalogues from publishers and managed to bend some arms, resulting in the Gremlin, Graftgold, Durell and Llamasoft discs. It was a hassle though, and not particularly worth it as the general feedback was, “I can just download those games for free, mate.” One highlight was issue four’s C64 audio CD, which Chris Abbott provided.
