‘LET’S GO, MONGO’

Former Chicago Bears great Steve McMichael was widely known as one of the toughest players in the NFL.

A two-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, McMichael played in a franchise-record 191 consecutive games for Chicago from 1981-93 and anchored the dominant defensive line that led the Bears to the 1985 Super Bowl.

With 95 career sacks, third most among defensive tackles, McMichael was so tough that teammate and Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary once called him the NFL’s “John Wayne.”
