Hammersmith Bridge should be taken over by TfL, says local MP Greg Hands

An MP has called for Transport for London (TfL) to take control of Hammersmith Bridge from its Labour-run council as the fifth anniversary of its closure draws closer.

Greg Hands, the Conservative MP for Chelsea and Fulham, has accused the town hall of presiding over a “farce”. 

In a joint statement with London Assembly Member Tony Devenish, he said that the council had no genuine
