1 FILL GAPS WITH FAST FLOWERS
Some annuals flower in as little as 10 weeks from sowing, and most types sown in March should flower continuously through July, August and much of September. But the sowing date has a lot to do with flowering times. As a general rule, the earlier you sow, the earlier the resulting plants will flower, and conversely, the later you sow, the later they’ll start flowering. This makes them a great choice for filling gaps; annuals such as cosmos, zinnias and cleome can be added to borders and pots for a burst of showy colour that lasts for months.
