Medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and Special Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law, above) take the next step in their relationship: He meets her dad, NCIS Special Agent, ) of the Far East Field Office in Japan. “He’s one of those fathers who expresses his love through criticism—to motivate her. She feels like she can’t get out of his shadow,” says exec producer David J. North. Whatever his hopes, Jimmy is in for some disappointment. “Everything doesn’t necessarily go according to plan,” Dietzen reveals. “Meeting her family opens a lot of questions for the future.”
