we’re going on a book hunt

There’s been a huge surge in nature and gardening books for children in the last few years, but finding fiction in which nature is central to the plot is still a challenge. Two stories that our readers responded to were (NOSY CROW), a tale about the lifecycle of kingfishers (and grandpas), and also (CANONGATE), which takes a light approach to exploring humans’ impact on the planet.
