Premier’s plans to uplift KZN

The KZN premier delivered the State of the Province (Sopa) address on February 28. The province has been led by eight previous premiers with Nomusa Dube-Ncube being the first female premier for KZN after her appointment in August 2022.

Her Sopa address comes at a critical time: first, it was delivered weeks ahead of the elections, and secondly, the scars of Covid-19, weather disasters and riots continue to send out shock waves in the province.

The premier was quick to praise provincial government officials for their swift response and for working tirelessly, reacting to destructive floods, the 2021 riots and other challenges.
