LET’S start out by praising the doctors in Puerto Rico. It was they who determined Amanda Serrano risked blindness if her match with Berlin’s Nina Meinke were allowed to take place. With a crowd of 18,000 at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot to see Puerto Rico’s Serrano box, the decision to pull her out so late in the process was made in the best interests of the fighter.

Critics will say that decision could’s MVP Promotions promised not only full refunds to all paying customers but also to give Meinke her purse in full.
