The history books are full of tales of the tragedies and triumphs of England’s kings and queens, with names such as William the Conqueror, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I known to generations of schoolchildren. But what about those who were in line for the throne but were never crowned, for whatever reason? In Uncrowned, we explore their stories, from the Norman Conquest through to the present day.
