Transport Network

China has made notable achievements in improving its transport infrastructure network over the past 12 months, the Ministry of Transport said on February 28.

Fixed-asset investment in the country’s transport system totaled 3.9 trillion yuan ($542.1 billion) in 2023, Minister of Transport Li Xiaopeng told a press conference.

A total of 2,776 km of high-speed railways were opened, and 7,000 km of expressways were built or expanded last year, Li said.
