THE CODFORD MINI MYSTERY

With the death of Neville Trickett in May 2022, one of the most prolific careers within the kit car industry came to an end. You may know him for the cool MiniSprint he created, but Trickett brought forth an incredible range of designs in the late 1960s and early ’70s, with the majority of his ideas actually reaching small-scale production.

At the start of the 1970s, Trickett must have been at the peak of his productivity, and a rare brochure from his company, Siva Engineering, shows what he was up to at the time, with the text within explaining more: “Siva set the pace with a range of kits to suit every taste and every pocket, every one a scene stealer. If you are an extrovert, egotist or just want a different motor car, we must have one
