WHEN to make nest-boxes available and encourage our pairs to breed is a critical question among parrot breeders at the beginning of each season.

Some breeders retain the nest-boxes in the aviary all year round. They keep the entrance closed until they see that the pair is suitably ready, and then open it.and then add more, typically softwoods and wood shavings.
