What did Frederick do in WW1?

Q Frederick Mitchell (seated) was born on 15 September 1887. I believe the photo dates from the First World War. What can you tell me about his service?

A This is a studio portrait of two volunteers for the Royal Fusiliers in 1915, for men named Frederick Mitchell, finding nine cards. I discarded men with a middle name, as Frederick doesn't seem to have had one, and one who previously served in the East Kent Regiment.
