State denies liability in Gardee murder case

‘delaying tactics’

THE Correctional Services Department has denied liability in the Hillary Gardee murder case following an R18 million letter of demand for negligence during their investigations.

The department is being sued by the family of the then 28-year-old Gardee for releasing the man who is accused of murdering her, after he was supposed to have been charged with absconding on parole in a different matter.
