Victims of infected blood scandal call for urgent compensation at Westminster protest

The victims of the infected blood scandal on Wednesday accused the Government of giving them "no recognition" as they called for urgent action on compensation payments at a demonstration outside parliament.

Some 30,000 patients were infected with HIV and hepatitis C through contaminated blood products in the 1970s and 1980s in what has been described as the worst treatment disaster in NHS
