After 25 years in their much-loved “but tired” home in Highgate, north London, a freak storm and flooding presented Nicole and David Price with a dilemma: should they stay (and take on the daunting large-scale refurbishment) or should they go? “I got an estate agent round to help us decide,” Nicole recalls. “Instead of giving me a valuation, though, the agent said we'd be mad to sell up!
