Meeting my best friend Emma, 52, in town, we took to The Co-Op with our handwritten lists.
That day, she’d gone for a tweed midi skirt and a collared blouse – we both looked like we’d stepped out of an old photograph.
As we perused the aisles with our baskets, we gave the other shoppers a blast from the past.
Some approached us, asking if we were in fancy dress, or maybe even filming on a set they had no clue about.
But after a shake of the head, we got a few heartwarming comments.
