GETTING STARTED IN MARSHALLING: JOINING THE ORANGE ARMY

It has long been said that British marshals are the best in the world and there is plenty of evidence to suggest that moniker remains as true now as it did when it was coined more than 50 years ago. No motorsport event of any type can run without marshals.

In the UK we are blessed to have probably the most diverse and busy motorsport calendar in the world. Not only do we have a huge range of events but they are, in comparison to many countries, fairly geographically adjacent. For most people, a journey of 60 to 90 minutes will open up a whole range of active motorsport weekends.

Each different type of motorsport brings diverse challenges for the marshals. But all of them allow these volunteers to get closer to the action and put something back into their sport.
