A PAIR OF MINIATURE MEDALS FOR THE CRIMEAN WAR

The pair of miniature medals illustrated belonged to Major Frederick Lindesay (known as ‘Fritz’), who served with the 17th Regiment in the Crimean War of 1854–56 (Figure 1). Miniature medals were worn when in uniform attending dinners in the officers’ mess.
