One of the best adventure rides I’ve ever been part of was the 2012 APC Rally around the eastern half of Australia. Fourteen days, 7,000 or so kays and a route that took in a massive slab of the Great Dividing Range, Big Red, the Birdsville Track, Flinders Ranges, Hattah desert and the back side of the Snowy Mountains was absolute bucket-list stuff.
