Each year, a different design brief is created, ranging from the likes of Ronald McDonald House, Fire & Ice Boutique Hotel and Cana Community Housing to this year’s Tiny Home project.
In the past few years, with soaring interest rates and cost of living increases, Tiny Homes are rapidly becoming a viable housing alternative, particularly for first-home buyers looking to enter the property market. The Tiny Home is now considered a saleable asset, and it’s also a solution for many of the fire and flood disaster areas that have been impacted in the past few years.
This year’s project is sponsored by one of Australia’s renowned architectural companies, TSF Architects, with a design brief that involved hundreds of final-year interior design and build undergraduates across 10 colleges and universities.
TSF Architects has been prominent in the Australian residential housing market for a number of years. It is an honour that it has helped coordinate our brief based on its knowledge of the Australian lifestyle and housing requirements.
