Arthur is a hopeless romantic with a fondness for old things. No stiff new tweeds here: frays are a badge of honour to him. Like many setter owners, he is quietly spoken and gives his dogs carefully considered names: Flintlock, Atticus, Persephone. The ‘pick a name you’d not be embarrassed to say in public’ rule doesn’t apply because those with setters know there’s no point calling their dogs; they won’t come back anyway.
